*Once every
four years, local youth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
reenact the Mormon migration experience.
The youth are divided into “family units” and spend three days
experiencing physical challenges, testing their limits and learning spiritual
truths. One family had Leonard and
Kristen as their “Ma” and “Pa”. During
that time, this little Lorton “family” was blessed with sweet music from Kabira
and Kaylee. Leonard and Kristen consider
Trek to be one of the best training grounds to prepare their hearts, resolve
and marriage for the trial of this separation.
“We can do hard things, All is Well.”

We wish to express gratitude for your
kindness and service given to our family these last few months. We have been the recipient of countless
prayers and have felt the immense support and power of that blessing. We have read each card you sent, ate the food
you made, felt the love shared and joined you as we all cried for our
hero. Most of all, we appreciate your remembrances
of our dear Leonard. His memory lives on
in the lives of those he influenced.
Our love, Kristen, Carter and Kirby
